  • Valid STCW documents
  • National Seamans book
  • Medical Fitness Certificate
  • In-depth knowledge of marine engineering systems, including propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary machinery.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the operation of main engines, propulsion systems, generators, and auxiliary machinery.
  • Plan and execute routine maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate repairs, troubleshooting, and overhauls as necessary.
  • Enforce and adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations related to the vessel’s engineering operations.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables required for routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of machinery maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and optimize engine performance for fuel efficiency.
