- Valid STCW documents
- National Seamans book
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- In-depth knowledge of marine engineering systems, including propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary machinery.
- Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the operation of main engines, propulsion systems, generators, and auxiliary machinery.
- Plan and execute routine maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
- Supervise and coordinate repairs, troubleshooting, and overhauls as necessary.
- Enforce and adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations related to the vessel’s engineering operations.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables required for routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of machinery maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Monitor fuel consumption and optimize engine performance for fuel efficiency.
